Job summary

PAM Health Specialty Hospital of Victoria North is seeking an Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) to join our inpatient medical-surgical unit in Victoria, TX. You will provide nursing care under the direction of an RN, collect data, report findings, and implement orders and therapies for diverse patients.

The ideal candidate holds active LPN/LVN licensure, BLS certification, and IV certification when required. One year of inpatient experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Current LPN/LVN licensure in the applicable state or compact state.
• BLS certification (AHA approved) required within 90 days of employment.
• IV certification within 90 days of employment if state regulations require it.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care as directed by an RN on the unit.
• Gather and report patient data and respond to changes in condition.
• Carry out physician orders and perform therapeutic procedures.
• Care for patients in an age-appropriate manner per PAM Health policies.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN)

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) is responsible for providing appropriate nursing care, as directed by an RN on the nursing unit. Functions include gathering and reporting data, carrying out orders, and performing therapeutic procedures on patients in an age and population-appropriate manner, consistent with the policies, procedures, and guidelines of PAM Health. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Education and Training

Holds current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates. Current BLS certification required. BLS certification must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment.

Required Certifications

• Current IV Certification within 90 days of employment, if required per state regulations.

Experience

One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required
