Job summary

Signature HealthCARE of Kinston is seeking a dedicated LPN/LVN to join our 106-bed facility in North Carolina. This full-time day-shift role (7am–7pm) offers opportunities to provide direct nursing care, administer medications, support ADLs, and supervise nursing assistants under facility guidelines.

You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop care plans, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure compassionate, resident-centered care.

Qualifications

• Active LPN/LVN license in the state of practice.
• CPR/BLS certification preferred (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
• Minimum one (1) year of clinical nursing experience; long-term care experience preferred.
• Experience in a supervisory or charge nurse role preferred.
• Strong clinical observation, medication administration, and documentation skills.
• Familiarity with federal and state long-term care regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents, including medication administration, wound care, and skilled nursing procedures.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) and ensure comfort, dignity, and safety at all times.
• Supervise and direct nursing assistants and medication aides during the assigned shift in accordance with facility policies and regulations.
• Monitor and observe residents’ physical and emotional status; notify the attending physician and responsible party of any change in condition.
• Develop, implement, and review individualized resident care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation per facility policy and procedure.
• Coordinate resident admissions, transfers, and discharges according to established procedures.
• Participate in quality assurance activities, staff education, and regulatory surveys as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing or designee.

How you Will make a Difference:
