Job summary

FutureCare is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Annapolis, Maryland to join our frontline healthcare team. You will assist with care planning, deliver treatments under RN supervision, and help maintain high-quality resident care across our facility.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active Maryland LPN license.
• 1 year of nursing experience preferred.
• Previous experience caring for residents in an acute or long-term health care facility is a plus.
• Team player with strong work ethic and a willingness to assist.
• Must possess a current CPR license.
• Ability to demonstrate effective interpersonal communication with all personnel, residents, and families.

Responsibilities

• Under the direct supervision of the RN, assist in care planning and treatments for residents and consults with other nursing staff as appropriate.
• Demonstrate basic knowledge and skills required to care for the resident population on an assigned unit.
• Review resident medical records to ensure nursing practice provided is within State and Federal guidelines.
• Document care provided and report changes in resident status to shift supervisor.
• Review all referrals for consultation, treatment or resolution of problems are valid and applicable to the documented nurse plans.
• Seeks opportunities for professional growth and expansion of responsibilities to maintain competency levels.
• Set and implement goals and policies consistent with the philosophy and purpose of FutureCare’s nursing facility.
