Job summary

Acadia St Landry Hospital in Church Point, LA seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for direct patient care on the floor. This full-time position runs a 2/2/3 schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Applicants without a resume will not be considered.

The LPN provides care under RNs supervision, follows care plans, administers treatments, and collaborates with the healthcare team to achieve positive patient outcomes. Louisiana licensure and BLS/CPR are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Louisiana Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
• Three years of full‑time LPN experience; hospital experience preferred.
• Current BLS/CPR certification; ACLS preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational and customer service skills.
• Computer literate with Microsoft Office familiarity.
• Ability to work in a team-based environment and maintain patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care as defined by the State Nurse Practice Act and the facility’s plan of care.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments within scope of practice.
• Observes, documents, and reports patient status to the RN.
• Collaborates with physicians and other staff to ensure quality care.
• Implements care plans and educates patient and family as needed.
• Maintains accurate documentation of patient services per ASLH policies.
