Job summary

Bowling Green Health & Rehabilitation Center in Bowling Green, VA, is seeking a qualified Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team. You will supervise CNAs, provide individualized nursing care, and assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, medications, and treatments to support residents’ independence and comfort.

Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered LPN licensure in Virginia.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate, and direct the work of nursing assistants (CNAs).
• Provide individualized nursing care to residents according to each resident’s plan of care.
• Assist in the admission, transfer, and discharge of patients.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments as ordered by the physician.
• Explains procedures and treatments ordered to gain patients’ cooperation and allay apprehension.
• Observe vital signs to detect deviations from normal and gauge progress of the patient.
• Maintains patients’ medical records on nursing observations and actions taken.
• Records nursing needs of patient on care plans for continuity of care.
• Observe emotional stability of patients and prepare them for continuing care after discharge.
• Perform other duties to provide exceptional care to residents.

What You'll Do
