Job summary

Mercy Youngstown is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join the Behavioral Health Unit. This full-time role features day shifts and a 36-hour workweek (12-hour shifts), contributing to compassionate, specialized care for patients in a supportive team environment.

Candidates should hold an LPN license (or multistate license) and an associate degree in nursing, with preferred 1 year of behavioral health experience and current BCLS. English communication skills are required.

Qualifications And Requirements

Applicants should have a current state LPN license or a current multistate compact license and possess an associate from an accredited nursing school.

• Minimum work experience: one year experience in behavioral health preferred
• BCLS or within one week of hire/transfer
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
• Language Skills: Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
