Job summary

Life Care Centers of America is seeking a qualified Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team. The LPN provides quality nursing care, monitors patients, and guides CNAs to maintain the highest well-being of residents in a535 facility setting.

Applicants must be a graduate of an accredited LPN program with an active TN license and CPR certification. Prior geriatric experience is preferred, and ongoing compliance with Life Care standards is required.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited LPN program.
• Currently licensed/registered in the applicable State; active LPN/LVN license required.
• One year geriatric nursing experience preferred.
• CPR certification upon hire or during orientation; must remain current.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and report changes in patient condition promptly.
• Assign duties to CNAs and provide clinical supervision.

As an important member of our interdisciplinary team, the LPN delivers quality nursing care to patients through interpersonal contact and provides care and services to allow patients to attain or maintain the highest practicable physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards. Your role will involve monitoring and reporting changes in the patient’s condition. On a daily basis you must be able to assign duties, instruct, and provide clinical supervision to CNAs.

Education, Experience, And Licensure Requirements

• Graduated from an accredited LPN program
• Currently licensed/registered in applicable State. Must maintain an active Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) license in good standing throughout employment.
• One (1) year geriatric nursing experience preferred
• CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation. CPR certification must remain current during employment.
