Job summary

Centurion Health is seeking a Full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for Dixon Correctional Center in Dixon, Illinois. The LPN provides holistic nursing care within the scope of practice under RNs and medical/psychiatric staff to meet the health needs of incarcerated patients.

The role offers Day or Evening shifts (8 hours) with rotating weekends and includes a $4 per hour evening shift differential. Requirements include an Illinois LPN license and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Clear/Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Illinois or ability to obtain one required
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients while working under the direction of Registered Nurses (RN) and medical and psychiatric staff.
• Respond to a range of physical and behavioral health needs under supervision, ensuring patient safety and quality care.
