Job summary

The State of Minnesota's Direct Care & Treatment agency in Willmar is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join the CABHH Willmar team on a part-time basis. The LPN will provide nursing care, administer medications, and support treatment plans under RN supervision in a hospital-level setting.

Shifts rotate between 6:45am-3:15pm and 2:45pm-11:15pm, with days varying and every other weekend, including holidays.

Qualifications

  • Possess or be eligible for licensure in Minnesota as a Practical Nurse.
  • NCLEX-LPN within six months of graduation is considered for contingent offers.
  • Experience in mental health or pediatric treatment settings preferred.

Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health Hospital (CABHH) in Willmar has an opening for Licensed Practical Nurse to work with kids receiving inpatient psychiatric treatment. We provide mental health services for children, adolescents, and young adults (ages 6-18) with serious behavioral and emotional conditions. As the Licensed Practical Nurse, you will provide nursing care, treatment, and instruction to patients in a hospital level of care setting under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Complete daily nursing cares including administering and monitoring medications and treatments to ensure medical responsibilities are accomplished. Develop therapeutic relationships and engage with patients while prioritizing safety and aiding patients in progressing with their treatment plan goals and objectives. Maintain and provide a safe, clean, and therapeutic work environment for treatment.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Possess or be eligible for licensure in Minnesota as a Practical Nurse.
  • Future Practical Nurses who are within six (6) months of graduating and taking their NCLEX-LPN are encouraged to apply. Contingent job offers may be made upon successful completion of degree and passing of NCLEX-LPN.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Patient care experience within a mental health or behavioral health setting.
  • Experience working with children and adolescents in a treatment setting.
