Job summary

ClearView Healthcare Management in Kentucky seeks an LPN to join our patient care team on a full-time basis. You will coordinate with the healthcare team, administer medications, monitor patients, and support discharge planning.

Responsibilities

• Consults and coordinates with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
• Prepares and administers prescribed medications and records them; report adverse reactions.
• Records patients' medical information and vital signs.
• Monitors and adjusts equipment and interprets displays.
• Initiates corrective action when patients display adverse symptoms.
• Provides bedside care for a wide variety of medical patients, including pre- and post-surgery.
• Assists physician during examination and treatment.
• Responds to life-saving situations per nursing standards and protocol.
• Participates in discharge planning.
• Uses time management effectively.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

LPN Core Responsibilities:

• Consults and coordinates with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
• Prepares and administers (orally, subcutaneously, through an IV) and records prescribed medications. Report adverse reactions to medications or treatments in accordance with the policy regarding the administration of medications by a licensed registered nurse.
• Records patients' medical information and vital signs.
• Monitors and adjusts specialized equipment used on patients, and interprets and records electronic displays.
• Initiates corrective action whenever the patient displays adverse symptomatology
• Provides bedside care for a wide variety of medical patients, including pre- and post-surgery patients.
• Prepares equipment and aids the physician during the examination and treatment of a patient
• Responds to life-saving situations based on nursing standards and protocol
• Participates in discharge planning.
• Utilizes time management skills.
• Records all care information concisely, accurately, and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format, and on the appropriate forms.
• Performs other position-related duties as assigned, depending on the assignment setting.

LPN Requirements:
