Job summary

Pleasantview Nursing Center is hiring a LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE (LPN) to work both short term rehabilitation and long-term care. The LPN will support the Unit Director in delivering individualized nursing care and will participate in coordinating care plans for residents.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of an approved practical nursing program and currently licensed by the Georgia State Board of Nursing, with experience preferred in geriatric or rehabilitative settings.

Qualifications

• Graduate of approved school for Practical or Vocational Nursing
• Currently licensed by the Georgia State Board of Nursing
• Experience preferred in geriatric or rehabilitative Nursing

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized Nursing Care Plans
• Assist in orientation and supervision of nursing personnel
• Attend to daily operations of the unit per shift

Position Summary:

In conjunction with the Unit Director, the Licensed Practical Nurse utilizes a general understanding of the principles of Nursing in the development of and implementation of individualized Nursing Care Plans to ensure that the needs of the customers are met. He/she assists in the orientation of and supervision of nursing personnel, attends to the daily operations of the unit on per shift, unit level, and assumes responsibilities of a leadership role as needed.

Requirements:

1. The Licensed Practical Nurse must be a graduate of an approved school for Practical or Vocational Nursing and must be currently licensed by the State Board of Nursing.
2. Experience is preferred in geriatric or rehabilitative Nursing
