Job summary

Willow Tree Post Acute is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our care team in Topeka, Kansas. We offer full-time and part-time roles with a $10,000 sign-on bonus paid quarterly over a year and up to $40.00 per hour.

Earners will be local, with stable hours and a strong team environment. The LPN will direct nursing assistants, ensure accurate charting, administer medications, and maintain a warm, respectful atmosphere for residents.

Qualifications

• Must have a current license in the State of Kansas or Compact state.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to work within deadlines.
• Courteous, friendly, and helpful attitude with residents, visitors, and co-workers.
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs.

Responsibilities

• Directs the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants per regulations.
• Ensures charting and documentation is completed each shift.
• Prepares and administers medications and treatments ordered by the physician.
• Performs other nursing duties as assigned by nursing management.
• Creates and maintains a warm, calm, respectful environment for residents.
• Demonstrates punctuality and reliability in attendance.
• Respects residents' privacy and dignity.

Job Responsibilities for Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

• Directs the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care and rehab facility
• Ensures charting and documentation is completed every shift and in accordance with established policies and procedures
• Prepares and administers medications and treatments ordered by the physician
• Performs other nursing duties as assigned by nursing management.
• Creates and maintains an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment
• Always exercises courtesy whenever residents, family members, and visitors are present
• Demonstrates ongoing responsibility and commitment through good attendance and by being on time to work
• Respects the privacy and dignity of residents
