Job summary

St. Coletta’s of Illinois operates an Intermediate Care Facility (ICF) for adults with developmental disabilities, providing 24/7 supported living in Tinley Park, IL.

The role offers a 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM shift at the Tinley Park site with a pay rate of $33.45 per hour. Responsibilities include implementing nursing care plans, administering medications, monitoring vital signs, collecting specimens, maintaining records, and ensuring safe environments and dietary needs for residents.

Qualifications

• Illinois nursing license required.
• One-year experience with medication administration.
• Pharmacology certificate.
• Experience with intellectually and/or physically disabled individuals.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Must pass a physical, drug screening and MVR background.

Responsibilities

• Administers nursing care plan to assigned individuals.
• Administers medications orally or by subcutaneous or intramuscular injection; notes time and amount on chart.
• Monitors and records vital signs.
• Collects laboratory specimens (urine, blood, sputum).
• Assembles and uses equipment (catheters, tracheotomy tubes, oxygen supplies).
• Sterilizes equipment and supplies.
• Monitors health status of individuals on caseload.
• Performs clerical duties and maintains medical records.
• Prepares or examines food for prescribed diets.
• Assists in maintaining a safe environment for students.
• Observes individuals and reports adverse reactions to medication or treatment.
• Dresses wounds and provides other treatments as required.
• Ensures medication orders communicated to pharmacy and staff.
• Ensures prescribed medications are available and administered.
• Completes Medication Administration Records accurately.

St. Coletta's of Illinois operates anIntermediate Care Facility (ICF) for individuals with developmental disabilities. The Intermediate Care Facilityallows for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live independently while still receiving support twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.

Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Payrate: $33.45hourly

Site: Tinley Park, IL / Country Club Hills, IL

Responsibilities

• Administers nursing care plan to assigned individuals.
• Administers specified medications, orally or by subcutaneous or intramuscular injection, and notes time and amount on the individual’s chart.
• Monitors and records vital signs.
• Collects laboratory specimens, such as urine, blood and sputum.
• Assembles and used such equipment as catheters, tracheotomy tubes, and oxygen supplies.
• Sterilizes equipment and supplies.
• Monitors health status of individuals on assigned caseload.
• Performs clerical duties and maintains medical records in accordance with state, federal and accreditation requirements.
• Prepares or examines food for prescribed diets.
• Assists in the maintenance of a safe physical environment for students.
• Observes individuals and reports adverse reactions to medication or treatment to supervisor.
• Dresses wounds, gives enemas, douches and provides other treatments as required.
• Ensures all medication orders are promptly and accurately communicated to the pharmacy, to the appropriate sites and to the staff administering the medications.
• Ensures all prescribed (including over-the-counter) medications are at the site and are accurately administered.
• Accurately completes Medication Administration Record.

Qualifications

• One-year experience with medication administration.

• Prior experience with intellectually and/or physically disabled individuals.
• Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record required.
• Must pass a physical, drug screening and MVR background.
