Job summary

Genesis Healthcare in Ridgewood, NJ is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to deliver efficient nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will evaluate residents, participate in assessments, administer medications, and supervise unlicensed staff to ensure quality care.

Successful candidates will be graduates of an approved practical nursing program, hold or pursue state licensure, and maintain BLS/CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an approved school for practical or vocational nursing.
• Must be currently licensed by the State Board of Nursing or pending licensure.
• Must maintain current BLS/CPR certification if employed at a skilled nursing center.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents to collect data, observe condition and report changes.
• Contribute to nursing assessments and care planning.
• Administer medications and perform treatments per physician orders.
• Supervise and monitor patient care provided by unlicensed staff.
