Acadia Healthcare's Tower Behavioral Health in Reading, PA is expanding its nursing team. We are seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to join a state-of-the-art behavioral health facility with inpatient and outpatient services. Full-Time shifts (Day or Night) are available with competitive pay and shift differentials.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required.
• Minimum of 1 year nursing experience in a related clinical area preferred.
• Current LPN/LVN license as required by state; CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient health and administer basic care within the LPN/LVN scope of practice.
• Ensure patient safety and demonstrate a sense of urgency regarding care.
• Collaborate with the team to meet patients' physical, biopsychosocial, age, and cultural needs.
• Provide for the basic comfort of patients and implement nursing interventions per care plans.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and medical staff about care and status changes.
• Maintain accurate reporting and documentation of patient symptoms, responses and progress.

We are growing and want you to grow with us! Tower Behavioral Health (TBH) is seeking passionate Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to join our nursing team. Come be a part of our state of the art Psych-Safe facility, with spacious outdoor courtyards, indoor gymnasiums, and an herb garden.

Located on a serene, partially wooded parcel on the west side of Route 183 in Reading, PA.

TBH provides services to adults, adolescents, and seniors. The facility offers inpatient and outpatient programs, counseling, treatment for substance use disorders and other services.

PURPOSE STATEMENT:

Responsible for providing professional nursing care to patients with a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude to foster a supportive and therapeutic environment. Recognize that patient safety is a top priority.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Monitor patient health and administer basic care utilizing the nursing process within the LPN/LVN scope of practice in carrying out care plan objectives and goals.

Role model expectations related to customer service and demonstrates a sense of urgency related to the importance of patient safety.

Collaborate with others to ensure that patients’ physical, biopsychosocial, age, developmental and cultural needs are met and when they are not met, acknowledges and works to resolve customer complaints.

Provide for the basic comfort of patient, implement nursing interventions identified in the plan of care that is individualized to their needs.

Apply appropriate interventions to progress the patient towards wellness and address maintenance of wellness.

Discuss the care provided with patient and listen to their concerns. Report status changes and concerns to registered nurses and doctors.

Communicate therapeutically and professionally with patient, visitors, coworkers and others involved in the patient's treatment in an effective manner.

Provide for the safe delivery of medication in accordance with policies and procedures, physicians orders and/or current practice.

Maintain standards of professional nursing practice in accordance with facility policy and procedures, other external governing and credentialing bodies, performance improvement standards and psychiatric nursing standards.

Responsible for thorough, accurate reporting and documentation of the patient symptoms, responses and progress.

OTHER FUNCTIONS:

Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required.

One or more years' of nursing experience within clinical area of service provided by facility preferred.

LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:

Current LPN/LVN license as required by state.

CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).

First aid may be required based on state or facility.
