Job summary

Americare Senior Living is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for our Assisted Living community in Quincy, IL. The role supports residents with high-quality clinical care in a Team-focused environment.

You will work with a Regional Nurse Consultant and leadership to ensure compliance and compassionate care, while building strong relationships with residents and families. This role emphasizes autonomy, teamwork, and adherence to Americare’s standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required.
• Experience in assisted living, memory care, or long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents per state regulations and facility policies.
• Support and guide caregiving staff to ensure high-quality care.
• Assist with resident assessments, care planning, and monitoring of changes in condition.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and protocols.
• Maintain professional relationships with physicians, pharmacies, and healthcare providers.
• Collaborate with Regional Nurse Consultant and leadership to support clinical best practices.
• Train and orient care team members as needed.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Promote a safe, respectful home-like environment for residents.

Your Role as the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Assisted Living

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in our Assisted Living community, you’ll have a meaningful impact on residents’ daily lives by providing compassionate, high-quality clinical care and supporting a strong caregiving team.

With the support of a Regional Nurse Consultant, you’ll deliver care within state guidelines and established best practices while helping create a culture of caring, accountability, and excellence. This role offers autonomy, teamwork, and the opportunity to build strong relationships with residents, families, and healthcare partners.

Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for providing direct nursing care, supporting resident wellness, and collaborating with caregivers and leadership to ensure safe, compliant, and resident-centered care within an Assisted Living environment.

This role works closely with physicians, pharmacies, and other healthcare providers while upholding Americare’s standards, values, and commitment to quality of life.

What You’ll Do

• Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with state regulations and facility policies
• Support and guide caregiving staff to ensure consistent, high-quality care
• Assist with resident assessments, care planning, and ongoing monitoring of changes in condition
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and established protocols
• Maintain professional relationships with physicians, office staff, pharmacies, and healthcare providers
• Collaborate with the Regional Nurse Consultant and community leadership to support clinical best practices
• Support orientation and training of care team members as needed
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Promote a safe, respectful, and home-like environment for residents

What You Bring

Education

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing

Licensure / Certification

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required

Experience & Skills

• Experience in assisted living, memory care, or long-term care preferred


• Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail


• Ability to work collaboratively with residents, families, caregivers, and healthcare partners

Physical Demands

• Lift up to 25 lbs. and assist with resident transfers as needed
