Highland Care Center in Queens, NY seeks Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join a 320-bed skilled nursing facility. Full-time day, evening, night, and weekend shifts are available, with base pay of $33.85 per hour and eligible shift differentials.

Sign-on bonuses include $1500 for 7am-3pm, $2000 for 3pm-11pm, $2500 for 11pm-7am, plus $2000 for all weekend shifts. Comprehensive benefits and a supportive team surround you in this modern facility.

Formación

• Active NY LPN license
• Minimum 1 year SNF experience preferred
• Current CPR certification
• Excellent clinical and documentation skills
• Strong verbal and written English communication

Summary of the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Position:

Provide nursing care to residents as prescribed by the physician and in accordance with standards of nursing practice and regulations and as directed by the Director of Nursing.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities of the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):

• Assess and document resident progress in the medical record
• Obtain changes in physician's orders as indicated by resident's progress or lack of progress
• Communicate pertinent information about resident condition and progress to charge nurses, supervisors and Director of Nursing, as indicated
• Administer medications and treatments accurately as ordered by the physician and according to all facility policies and procedures
• Assist in monitoring the inventory of medications, medical supplies and equipment to be sure adequate supplies of skin care products are on hand to meet the needs of residents
• Participate in educational programs for residents and their family members relative to skin care when a resident is being discharged to home
• Participate in Quality Improvement activities, as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Licensed Practical Nurse current state license in New York
• At least one (1) year of Skilled Nursing experience preferred
• Must have a current/active CPR certification
• Excellent technical, assessment, and documentation skills
• Effective verbal and written English communication skills
• Customer service oriented with the ability to work well under pressure
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, take initiative and make independent decisions
