Job summary

Ecumen is seeking a Part Time LPN to provide nursing care to residents, including medications, treatments and documentation under the direction of the Director of Nursing. This 32-hour/2-week schedule runs 6:30am–3:00pm with an every-other-weekend rotation, on-site at our Minnesota campus.

Responsibilities include directing nursing assistants and other staff, coordinating care from admission to discharge, administering medications, observing residents, and reporting changes promptly.

Qualifications

• Current LPN licensure in the state they are working (Minnesota).
• Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal formats.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency with documentation systems.

• Coordinates care and services from admission to discharge with other departments/providers.
• Assists RN with assessments, documentation, and data collection; acts on findings promptly.
• Administers medications and completes treatments as ordered; observes and reports changes.

Provides direction to nursing assistants, resident assistants, trained medication assistants, and other clinical staff on unit/shift.

The targeted pay range for this job is $27- $35 per hour.

Ecumen considers a variety of factors when determining new hire pay including experience, qualifications, and, when applicable, certifications, licenses, and education.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

1. Provides nursing care to residents within the scope of practice of a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
2. Responsible for coordination and direction of resident care. Coordinates care and services with other departments/providers from the time of admission to discharge.
3. Assists Registered Nurse with completion of assessments, documentation, and data collection within scope of practice and acting timely on findings.
4. Administers medications and completes treatments as ordered. Observes and monitors resident's condition and reports changes as appropriate. Ensures that all physicians' orders are signed and implemented within specified time frames.
5. Maintains safety of all residents and employees. Responds appropriately to safety hazards and reports any issues to the appropriate person. Ensures that all staff follows the infection control policy and procedure.
6. Maintains a clean, sanitary, safe and efficiently organized work area.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

• Degree from an accredited school of nursing for the Licensed Practical Nurse program
• Current LPN licensure in the state in which they are working
• Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility including but not limited to: Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident's Bill of Rights, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to know, SDS, ADA, HUD Policy and Procedures, Fair Housing laws and regulations
