Job summary

Henry Ford Health, based in Detroit, seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide nursing care under the supervision of a RN or provider. The role emphasizes clinical competence, teamwork, and contributing to the care plan across a full range of nursing tasks.

Qualifications include graduation from an accredited LPN program, Michigan LPN licensure, and current BLS. Schedule features (3) 12-hour day shifts, every 4th weekend, no holidays. This is a full-time position at 36 hours per week.

Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Under the delegated authority of a registered nurse or provider, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) uses sound nursing judgment in provision of nursing care. Performs a variety of both technical and routine nursing services. Collaborates with health care team in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the effectiveness of the nursing care plan. Demonstrates clinical competence.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Graduate from an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing School.
• Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Successful completion of HFHS pharmacology exam for the LPN.
• Current BLS.

(3) 12 hour shifts - 5:00am - 5:30pm
