Lake Bennet Center for Rehabilitation and Healing in Ocoee, FL is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a full-time, hourly position. You will work under supervision with an interdisciplinary team to deliver long-term and rehabilitative care, including meds, admissions, and care plan implementation.

Qualifications

• LPN license required in the state.
• CPR certification is required.
• Two years nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Admissions, discharge and transfers of residents.
• Medication requisitions with pharmacy and physicians.
• Medication administration.
• Follow infection control, emergencies, and center policies.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide the best outcomes.
• Identify and report abnormal changes in residents’ condition.
• Supervise care under nursing act and center policies.
• Deliver nursing care for long-term or rehabilitative residents.
• Collect patient data, make observations, and report pertinent information.
• Implement care plans and evaluate patient responses.
• Direct and supervise care by other nursing personnel in selected situations.
• Maintain documentation requirements and equipment knowledge.
• Maintain confidentiality and patient rights.

Some of your Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Job Responsibilities include:

• Admissions, Discharge and Transfers of residents
• Medication requisitions with pharmacy and physicians
• Medication administration
• Following infection control, emergencies, and other center policies
• Collaborating with resident’s interdisciplinary team to provide the best outcomes
• Identifying and reporting all abnormal changes in residents’ condition to proper personnel per center policy
• Works under direct supervision in accordance with the state‑specific Nurse Practice Act, facility Policies and Procedures, and nursing judgment.
• Delivers nursing care to patients/residents requiring long‑term or rehabilitative care.
• Collects patient/resident data, makes observations, and reports pertinent information related to the care of the patient/resident.
• According to state‑specific regulations, implements the patient/resident plan of care and evaluates the patient/resident response.
• In accordance with state‑specific regulations, directs and supervises care given by other nursing personnel in selected situations.
• Maintains knowledge of necessary documentation requirements.
• Maintains knowledge of equipment set‑up, maintenance and use, i.e., monitors, infusion devices, drain devices, etc.
• Maintains confidentiality and patient/resident rights, regarding all patient/resident/ personnel information.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) QUALIFICATIONS:

• LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) licensed by the State or Multistate License
• CPR Certification required
• Two Years prior nursing experience preferred
