Job summary

Sunrise Point Health and Rehab in Rockledge, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a full-time on-site position. You will perform patient assessments, administer medications, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support discharge planning and patient education.

The role requires a valid RN/LPN license, experience with EHRs (Epic/Cerner), and the ability to work day/evening/night shifts in fast-paced settings across acute, long-term, or specialty

Qualifications

• Valid RN or LPN license in good standing with the state board.
• Experience with EHR systems (Epic or Cerner) and medical documentation.
• Experience in critical care settings (ICU, ER, trauma) preferred.
• Proficient in IV therapy, medication administration, airway management, and infection control.
• Background in long-term care or home health is a plus.
• Strong medical terminology and patient assessment skills.
• Ability to work day/evening/night shifts in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive patient assessments using EHR systems and document vitals, exams, and history.
• Administer medications and injections, follow sterile techniques and safety protocols.
• Assist with diagnostic evaluations, specimen collection, and imaging procedures.
• Manage airway care, ventilator support, and feeding to ensure patient comfort.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic and Cerner.

• Administer medications, injections, and perform catheterizations following sterile techniques and safety protocols.

• Assist with diagnostic evaluations, specimen collection and processing, and imaging procedures to support accurate diagnoses.

• Manage airway care, ventilator support, tube feeding to ensure optimal patient comfort and safety.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on discharge planning, case management, and patient education to promote recovery and well-being.

• Maintain clinical confidentiality policies in accordance with HIPAA regulations while documenting medical records accurately and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Valid RN or LPN license in good standing with the state licensing board.

• Experience working with electronic health records PCC and familiarity with ICD-9/10 coding standards.

• Demonstrated expertise in critical care environments such as ICU, emergency room (ER), trauma centers (Level I & II), or hospital medicine units.

• Knowledge of advanced nursing procedures including IV, medication administration, airway management, and infection control practices.

• Prior experience in long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, skilled nursing facilities, or home & community care settings is highly desirable.

• Strong understanding of medical terminology, physiology knowledge, and patient assessment skills.

• Ability to work effectively across all shifts—day, evening, night—and adapt to fast-paced clinical environments while maintaining a positive attitude.

Job Requirements

• This position requires a Level 2 background screening through the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) Clearinghouse in accordance with Florida law. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of all required background screening.
