Job summary

The Actors Fund Home in Englewood, NJ is seeking a Full Time or Per-Diem Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide direct nursing care under the supervision of an RN. The new rates are $34/HR - $37/HR with a $2.00 shift differential for Nights and Weekends, in an accredited dementia care and sub-acute rehab setting.

This hourly position offers shifts 7am-3:30pm, 3:00pm-11:30pm, and 11pm-7:30am with scheduling flexibility including every weekend or every other weekend.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Active license to practice as a licensed practical nurse in New Jersey.
• Minimum of 1-year experience as an LPN.
• Knowledge of electronic charting a plus.
• Adaptable and able to manage competing priorities and crisis.
• Tactful and courteous with residents, families, practitioners and others.
• Must be able to work beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holidays when necessary.
• Have an understanding of, affection for, and a desire to work with the aging.

Responsibilities

• Assess residents and evaluate their plans of care throughout stay.
• Coordinate nursing services to maintain resident care.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by physician.
• Ensure adequate supply of medications, supplies, and equipment.
• Administer treatments such as catheterization, tube feeding, dressings, colostomy and drainage bags.
• Complete and file records upon admission and residence.
• Report and investigate allegations of resident abuse or misappropriation of property.

Actors Fund Home, an assisted living, skilled nursing, accredited dementia care and sub-acute rehabilitation center located in Englewood, NJ, and a recipient of a CMS Five Star Rating is seeking Full Time orPer-DiemLicensed Practical Nursesto provide direct nursing care under the supervision of an RN to our residents and to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by the nursing assistants.

JOB DUTIES

• Ensures that all residents are assessed and evaluated as per policy and procedure throughout their stay by reviewing resident's plan of care.
• Coordinates nursing services to ensure that the resident’s total regimen of care is maintained.
• Prepares and administers medications as ordered by the physician in accordance with current federal, state and local standards.
• Ensures that an adequate supply of floor stock medications, medical supplies and equipment is on hand to meet nursing needs of the residents.
• Administers professional services such treatments of catheterization, tube feedings, suction, applying and changing dressings/ bandages, packs, colostomy and drainage bags, etc. as required.
• Completes and files required records/forms/charts upon the resident’s admission and residence.
• Reports and investigates all allegations of resident abuse and or misappropriation of resident property.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Active license to practice as a licensed practical nurse in the State of New Jersey required.
• Minimum of 1-year experience working as an LPN.
• Knowledge of electronic charting a plus.
• Adaptable and able to manage competing priorities and crisis.

This is an hourly position offering a range between $34/HR - $37/HR in The Actors Fund Home in Englewood, NJ. The current shift demands are inclusive of 7am-3:30pm, 3:00pm-11:30pm, & 11pm-7:30amand scheduling needs are flexible between every weekend or everyother weekend.
