The Center at Cordera in Colorado Springs is seeking full-time, part-time and PRN nursing staff to join our team across a variety of days and shifts. Night shifts are available, and pay is dependent on experience.

We are a skilled nursing facility delivering physical rehabilitation and complex nursing care with a physician-driven care plan. You will work with a caring team in a comfortable, modern setting focused on maximizing each resident’s independence.

Qualifications

• Must possess an active LPN license in Colorado or be a graduate of an approved LPN program.
• Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with federal, state and local standards.
• Prepare for new admissions and assist with orientation of new residents.

LPN - Job Summary

The Nurse is responsible for providing direct nursing care to the residents. Such care must be delivered in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility, and as may be required by the Director of Nursing Services designee.

LPN- Essential Job Functions

• Administer services within the applicable scope of nursing practice
• Prepare for new admissions
• Ensure that rooms are ready for new admissions-work closely with the C.N.A team to make every new admission feel comfortable and welcomed
• Communicate with physicians, care team, patients and family members effectively
• Requisition and arrange for diagnostic and therapeutic services, as ordered by the physician, and in accordance with established procedures
• Answer call lights and assist patients in a timely manner
• Be familiar with the rights of residents in a skilled nursing facility and act in a manner consistent with and respectful of those rights
• Assist in arranging appointments and transportation for patients as appropriate
• Follow drug administration protocol, to include the disposal of drugs and narcotics as required, and in accordance with established procedures

Qualifications

LPN - Education

Must possess, as a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university, or be a graduate of an approved LPN program

LPN - Specific Requirements

• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an LPN in this state-must report any situations that may arise in which the license could be affected
• Must be able to pass a drug screening and background check
