Job summary

iCare Health Network in East Windsor, CT seeks a Charge Nurse/LPN to provide medication administration, treatments, and daily living assistance to facility residents. LPN starting rate is $31.83/hr with shift differentials and projected total annual compensation up to $76,004, including overtime.

Responsibilities include planning and delivering high-quality care on the assigned unit, supervising CNAs, making independent clinical decisions, and documenting patient changes and incidents for RN

Qualifications

• A current, unencumbered CT nursing license is required.
• Minimum of one year of experience in acute care and/or long-term care in a skilled nursing facility preferred.
• Experience in rehabilitation or behavioral health is a plus.
• Proficiency in English, including speaking, reading, and writing, is required.
• EMR experience preferred.

• Plans and implements the optimal achievable quality of care rendered to each resident on the assigned Unit.
• The Charge Nurse shall coordinate, assign, direct and prioritize the work of other staff members (primarily CNAs) to ensure efficient operation of the nursing unit.
• Makes independent decisions relevant to nursing care and delivers them to each resident as per nursing assignments; collaborates with RN Supervisor as needed.
• Documents changes in patient conditions, new orders, unusual occurrences and report incidents including employee injuries; reports unusual occurrences to the RN Supervisor.

LPN starting rate is $31.83/hr plus shift differentials. Average up to $76,004 projected total annual compensation isbased on actual average earnings by current LPNs andincludes overtime and other paid wages in East Windsor facilities.
