Job summary

Alexandria Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking aLicensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for PRN shifts in Virginia. Daily pay is offered and all shifts are available on a PRN basis.

The role requires a VA LPN license, CPR/BLS certification, and the ability to manage multiple residents with sound clinical judgment. Compensation is $30–$37 per hour, with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered LPN license in Virginia (VA).
• Valid BLS CPR certification required.
• Ability to care for multiple patients in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care per plan of care and physician orders.
• Medication administration and treatments as directed.
• Monitor residents and report changes to supervisor promptly.
• Maintain accurate documentation and support a safe environment.

Responsibilities for Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):

• Provide patient care in accordance with accepted standards of nursing practice, the written plan of care, and the physician’s plan of treatment.
• Follow and implement individualized care plans developed by the Nurse Manager and interdisciplinary team.
• Perform medication administration and prescribed treatments in accordance with the plan of care (POC) and facility policies.
• Monitor residents’ conditions, report changes promptly to the supervising nurse or physician, and respond appropriately to clinical needs.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with physician orders, care plans, and regulatory standards.
• Support a safe, respectful, and therapeutic environment for residents and their families.

Qualifications for Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):

• Current, unencumbered active LPN license in the state of VA.
• Valid BLS Certification (CPR) required.
• Ability to care for and manage multiple patients in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and attention to detail.
