Job summary

RHA Health Services, LLC is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (IDD LPN) for the Day Shift to join our Maxton, NC team. This office-based role supports our group home operations and requires routine travel to Laurinburg and Hoffman, NC.

You will provide holistic nursing care, assist the Registered Nurse, administer medications, coordinate preventive appointments, and advocate for the people supported in a structured, steady-paced environment. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–4:30pm.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited licensed nurse program.
  • Current nursing license with no restrictions to practice nursing.
  • Current CPR Certification or eligibility to obtain certification.
  • Effective communication with Interdisciplinary Team Members, as well as the people supported and their families.
  • Ability to work independently, be organized, and prioritize work tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Provide holistic nursing care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Assist the Registered Nurse in delivering quality nursing services to persons supported
  • Provide health related training to unlicensed personnel
  • Administer medications and treatments or assist the person supported with medication administration
  • Assist with ensuring preventative and routine medical appointments are scheduled
  • Conduct medication closest assessments
  • Collect health related data
  • Observe for and report any abnormal health related findings to the physician
  • Communicate with physicians, pharmacies, medical suppliers, and the Interdisciplinary Team
  • Advocate for the people supported and assist with developing community supports to promote optimal health for the people supported

Location: Main office is out of Maxton, NC and all candidates must be willing to travel to our group homes within the following regions: Laurinburg and Hoffman, North Carolina.

Employment Type: Full-time, Day Shift

Compensation: $32/hr+

Incentives: No sign-on bonus is being offered at this time. No relocation package offered.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm

Candidates with prior IDD and case management experience are strongly encouraged to apply.**

Requirements

  • Must be able to communicate effectively with Interdisciplinary Team Members, as well as the people supported and their families
  • Must be able to work independently, be organized, and possess the ability to prioritize work tasks

  • Education verification and other credentialing based on position requirements.
