Job summary

Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare is hiring an Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide direct patient care, perform venipuncture, and support examinations and procedures in a hospital setting.

You will assist providers, manage patient flow, and adhere to the Florida Nurse Practice Act while delivering compassionate care across the care team. This full-time role is based in Tallahassee, FL, with a focus on patient safety and quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Practical Nursing.
• Current LPN License in the State of Florida.
• Minimum: No previous experience. Preferred: 2 or more years in a related role.
• Must comply with Florida Nurse Practice Act.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including venipuncture, prepping patients for exams, and assisting with procedures as ordered.
• Administer injections and treatments per orders and ready patients for provider visits.
• Coordinate patient calls and walk-ins, including emergent situations.
• Assist in other duties within the medical group practice as needed and per department policies.

HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT

Job Summary:

Provides direct patient care by doing lab work and venipuncture, readying patients for exams, assisting providers with exams and procedures, and administering injections and treatments as orders. Coordinates patient calls/walk-ins in emergent situations. Assists in other functions of the medical group practice as needed. Tasks performed are in compliance with department and policies and procedures, and within educational preparation as well as the Florida Nurse Practice Act.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO APPLY

Required Education:

Required Experience:

Required Certification/License/Registry:
