The Float Nurse is a Licensed Practical or Vocational Nurse (LPN or LVN) responsible for providing patient care in a correctional setting by assisting in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. They work under RN supervision, provide patient education, and perform activities within their competencies. They follow the Nursing Practice Act and collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure high-quality care.
