Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible per VA policy.
• Proficient in spoken and written English.
• Graduate of an NLNAC-accredited or state-approved practical nursing program.
• Full, active, current, and unrestricted LPN/LVN licensure in the United States.
• May qualify under Grandfathering Provision for current VA employees in this occupation.

Responsabilités

• Provide a full range of practical nursing care to patients with various physical and/or behavioral problems.
• Educate patients and families about common disease processes, medications and treatment regimes.
• Collaborate with the nursing team and communicate with RN/MD/DO; monitor patient responses to medications.
• Prepare, administer, and document medications as permitted by policy; observe and report changes in patient condition.
• Recognize urgent or emergent patient care situations and initiate appropriate emergency interventions.
• Maintain safety, report equipment malfunctions, and assist in emergencies as needed.
