Job summary

Washington Regional is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the WR Family Clinic in Fayetteville, AR. This full-time, dayshift role focuses on direct patient care, assisting physicians with procedures, and supporting front office duties when needed.

The ideal candidate holds an accredited nursing diploma, an active LPN license with CPR certification, and at least 2 years of interdisciplinary team experience. 80% of time standing, 20% sedentary, in a busy clinic environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Licensed Practical Nurse license and CPR required.
• Minimum of 2 years previous experience working as an LPN on an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient vitals and update patient medical history while inputting data collected into the electronic medical records system
• Prepare patient for various procedures and/or examinations and assist physicians, as needed
• Refill provider-authorized medications via electronic, fax or phone as authorized and appropriate
• Provide direction, support, and counseling regarding medical therapies and medications as directed by the physician
• Assist patient by providing direction, support, and counseling regarding medical therapies and medications as directed by the physician
• Serve as patient liaison and advocate, as needed
• Schedule surgeries and various diagnostic tests and provide scheduled date to the patient
