Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of North Carolina.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification or obtained within three months of hire.
• If driving is required, a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record as required by hospital liability carrier.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of a physician or nurse, performs common technical tasks or procedures that do not require professional nursing judgment.
• Administers medications to patients as ordered, with insulin/ high-risk meds verified by another nurse prior to administration.
• Performs laboratory-waived testing (e.g., bedside finger-stick glucose) and supports basic office procedures.
