Job summary

UK King’s Daughters in Portsmouth, Ohio, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our ambulatory care team on-site. You will deliver patient care, assist with procedures, and support the clinical team to ensure safe, patient-centered care.

You will obtain vitals, perform phlebotomy, administer medications, and educate patients and families about treatment plans. This role requires collaboration with providers and efficient coordination of referrals and testing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with vocational/technical training in a relevant area.
• Current and active LPN license in applicable state with BLS certification.
• Experience or training in ambulatory care settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care on an ambulatory team according to scope of practice.
• Obtain vitals, health histories, and assist with procedures and tests.

Performs trained clinical tasks such as starting IVs, providing wound care, and monitoring patient conditions. Communicates changes or abnormalities to registered nurses or licensed independent practitioners. Ensures patient satisfaction and contributes to a safe, patient-centered care environment.
