Job summary

MEDIKO is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide direct patient care in a correctional setting in Lexington, VA. You will administer medications, monitor patient conditions, assist with treatments, and document care under physician direction.

You will collaborate with healthcare teams, ensure compliance with policies and regulations, and educate patients and staff on health topics while maintaining a safe and well-organized medical unit.

Qualifications

  • Current, valid state licensure to practice in applicable role (LPN/LVN, etc.).
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • 1–3 years of healthcare experience preferred, especially in a regulated or correctional setting.
  • Active CPR/BLS certification required (American Heart Association/Red Cross).

Responsibilities

This role will collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure quality patient care while adhering to facility policies, state regulations, and infection control standards.
