The Thomson-Hood Veterans Center in Wilmore, KY is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to care for residents in a 285-bed long-term care facility. You will perform nursing duties under supervision, administer medications, and collect assessment data to support veterans’ independence and dignity.

Must be licensed in Kentucky as an LPN or hold a valid work permit; Locality Premium applies. Initial probation and safety protocols are in place, with overtime eligibility for this executive

Qualifications

• Must be licensed in Kentucky as a practical nurse or must have a valid work permit issued by the Kentucky Board of Nursing.
• No prior experience required.

The Thomson-Hood Veterans Center is a 285-bed long-term care facility located in beautiful Wilmore, Kentuckythat is committed to serving Kentucky’s Veterans by fostering independence, preserving dignity, and providingcompassionate care.

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position is responsible for caring for the residents of Thomson-HoodVeterans Center.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Performs nursing duties under direction of a Registered Nurse or Physician.
• Administers medication and treatments as prescribed.
• Collects assessment data and cares for our veterans within the scope of the LPN clinical skills.

This position, in the Thomson-Hood Veterans Center Nursing Services Department, in Jessamine County has anapproved Locality Premium of $12.45 in compliance with 101 KAR 2:034 Section 9(1).
