Job summary

Majestic Care of Whitehall is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our care team. The LPN will render skilled nursing services on an assigned unit, supervise CNAs, and support medical care as directed by the nursing management team.

The role focuses on developing individualized care plans, administering medications, coordinating with physicians, and ensuring high-quality care for residents per state regulations. Join our compassionate team at Majestic Care in Whitehall.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing program.
• Active LPN license in the state of employment; license in good standing.
• CPR certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and lead conferences to develop individualized nursing care plans.
• Assess and document residents' condition and nursing needs.
• Accurately implement physicians' orders and administer medications.
• Start IVs and perform treatments; document as required by rules and Majestic Care.
• Supervise CNAs to ensure high-quality care and participate in orientation.
• Assist physicians with tests/procedures within Nursing Practice Act scope.
• Report and record pertinent observations and reactions regarding residents.
• Coordinate nursing care when residents are scheduled for therapy or procedures.

Position Overview:

Majestic Care LPNs render skilled technical nursing services to residents within an assigned unit/wing in support of medical care as directed by the nursing management team; supervises CNAs to ensure a high quality of care is provided to all residents in that unit.

Key Responsibilities:

• Initiate and lead team conferences in development of individualized nursing care plans.

• Assess and document the residents’ condition and nursing needs.

• Accurately and promptly implement physicians’ orders.

• Administer medications, start IVs, and perform treatments for assigned residents and document that treatment as required by Majestic Care and local, state, and federal rules and regulations.

• Participate in orientation and in-service training for personnel.

• Assist physicians with special tests and procedures within the scope of state specified Nursing Practice Act.

• Report and record pertinent observations and reactions regarding residents.

• Coordinate nursing care of residents when scheduled for therapy or procedures by other departments.

• Assist with or institute emergency measures for sudden adverse developments in residents.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.

• Licensed as an LPN in the state employed; license must be active, valid, and in good standing.

• Valid CPR teaching certificate preferred but not required.
