Job summary

KVC Health Systems, Inc. in St. Louis, MO, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide basic nursing care under the supervision of RNs and physicians. The role includes medication administration, patient documentation, and collaboration with the care team.

Education requires graduation from an accredited practical nursing program with Missouri LPN licensure. New grads welcome; evening/weekend differentials apply.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.
• Licensed as an LPN in Missouri.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• New graduates welcome; behavioral health orientation during training.
• At least 3 months of behavioral health, pediatric, or inpatient nursing experience (preferred).
• Intermediate skills in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Practice conduct that displays respect for all colleagues and stakeholders.
• Assure accuracy of medication dosages and times.
• Attend to minor injuries and determine need for medical attention.
• Document and collect data on patients.
• Schedule medical and psychiatric appointments.
• Check vital signs, heights, and weights of patients.
• Collect specimens for labs per doctor’s orders.
• Schedule tests for patients and arrange transport; complete yearly re-licensing and review corrective actions.
• Complete all SRS/KDHE investigations.
• Assist physicians and staff as needed.

Job Summary

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) responsible for providing basic nursing care under the supervision of registered nurses and medical providers. Duties include monitoring patient health, administering medications, assisting with daily living activities, and documenting care. Works as part of a healthcare team to support patient treatment plans, maintain a safe environment, and ensure quality care.

Education: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.

Licensure/Certification: Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the State of Missouri.

Valid driver’s license and auto insurance required.

Experience: New graduates are welcome to apply. Behavioral health orientation provided during training.

Preferred Experience/Skills: At least 3 months of behavioral health, pediatric, or inpatient nursing experience.

Requires Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook email.

Evening and weekend differentials available. +$3.00/hour for weekday evenings/overnights, +$5.00/hour for weekend evenings/overnights

Physical & Work Environment

This role involves a mix of standing, walking, and occasional lifting, along with regular use of office equipment. You’ll work in a professional office setting with moderate noise levels and occasional exposure to outdoor conditions.
