Job Summary: A Licensed Practical Nurse provides care to patients of all ages within their scope of experience and training in various settings, including inpatient, clinic, physician's office, outpatient, and others. They administer nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Physician, using sound judgment, methods, and skills.

Responsibilities:
  1. Observe, monitor, and record physiological measurements.
  2. Provide treatment to patients according to organizational protocols.
  3. Assist providers with examinations, therapeutic measures, and procedures.
  4. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
  5. Identify and address physical, emotional, and developmental needs of patients.
  6. Educate patients and families about health procedures and conditions.
  7. Administer, control, and dispense prescription medications following organizational policies.
  8. Notify providers of any unusual reactions or changes in patient conditions.
  9. Perform surgical scheduling functions as needed.
  10. Manage patient referrals and insurance authorizations.
  11. Safeguard and inventory medical equipment and supplies.
  12. Follow Universal Precautions and Infection Control Procedures.
  13. Respond effectively to emergency situations through appropriate communication.
  14. Participate in performance improvement activities, staff training, and team meetings.
  15. Maintain a professional appearance and a safe, clean environment.
  16. Respect patient rights and confidentiality.
  17. Utilize technology and specialized software to enhance productivity.
  18. Develop and maintain electronic medical records.
  19. Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills and provide quality customer service.
  20. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  21. Maintain professional and technical knowledge through ongoing education and participation in professional societies.
  22. Perform other duties as assigned.
