Job summary

Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital, part of BJC Medical Group, seeks a full-time LPN to join our Sullivan, Missouri team. You will provide direct patient care under the supervision of the RN, with focus on long-term care and surgical care as applicable.

This role offers day shifts, 40 hours per week and benefits eligibility. A valid LPN license with IV certification is required; prior experience is not necessary, though LTC experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Nursing license (LPN) with IV certification.
• Experience: No experience required

Responsibilities

• Implements treatments and procedures within the scope of practice for the Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, provides patient teaching and discharge planning. Participates in professional development and lifelong learning.
• Performs patient assessment and evaluation with regard to the patient‘s age and developmental needs.
• Assists in developing and updating the plan of care with regard to the patient‘s age and developmental needs.
• Implements plan of care with regard to the patient‘s age and developmental needs.

Overview

Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital is a designated critical access hospital committed to providing quality health care service to residents in Crawford, Franklin and Washington counties. The hospital has enhanced and expanded the health care services available to the greater Sullivan community with its state-of-the-art emergency department, modern childbirth center, critical care unit, multiroom surgical suite, expanded cardiac rehab services, and a cancer center. A 22,500 square-foot medical office building provides offices for primary care physicians as well as space for a variety of visiting medical and surgical specialists from the St. Louis area. Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital operates four rural health clinics providing quality health care to surrounding communities. In addition, the hospital operates a comprehensive Therapy and Rehabilitation department and an award-winning Wound Care Center with two hyperbaric chambers. The Sullivan medical clinic is a well-established, multi-discipline physician group providing family, internal and OB care.
