Job summary

Amber Health Care, a growing outpatient primary care practice in Baltimore, MD, is seeking a Full-Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team. You will be rooming patients, taking vital signs, and preparing them for examinations while administering injections and phlebotomy as ordered.

You will document in the EMR, educate patients on care plans, and coordinate referrals and follow-ups. A Maryland LPN license and CPR/BLS are required; outpatient experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Maryland Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
• CPR/BLS certification is current and valid.
• Minimum one year of outpatient or primary care experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy and injections experience preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and work collaboratively in a team environment.
• EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain accurate vital signs.
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures.

• Perform phlebotomy and collect laboratory specimens.
• Conduct point-of-care testing (strep, flu, COVID-19, urinalysis, glucose, pregnancy testing, etc.).

• Educate patients on medications, treatment plans, and preventive care.
• Coordinate referrals, prior authorizations, and follow-up appointments.
• Maintain exam rooms and clinical supplies while following infection control standards.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and provide outstanding customer service.
