Job summary

Primrose Retirement Communities is hiring for a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide quality nursing care to residents within our community, following physician orders and Primrose policies. The Staff Nurse will ensure needs are met per regulations and standards of practice, using a person-centered approach to support residents’ well-being.

We are looking for an active nursing license in the state, CPR/First Aid certification, and experience in long-term care or assisted living.

Qualifications

• Active nursing license in the state of employment.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Experience in long-term care or assisted living preferred.
• Knowledge of current state nursing laws and regulations.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Knowledge of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality nursing care to residents in accordance with physician orders and Primrose policies.
• Ensure care aligns with standards of practice and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to meet resident needs and goals.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living while maintaining dignity and comfort.
• Participate in weekend and holiday rotation as required.

Primrose Retirement Communities is hiring for a Licensed Practical Nurse to be responsible for providing quality nursing care within Primrose Retirement Communities, ensuring that residents’ needs are met in accordance with standards of practice through physician orders, Primrose policies and procedures, federal, state, and local regulations, and established nursing best practices. Through a collaborative and "person-centered" approach, the Staff Nurse enables each resident to attain or maintain the highest practical physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.

What we're looking for:

• Current, active nursing license in the state the community is located in.
• Maintain CPR and First Aid Certification per state regulations.
• Meet annual continuing education hours required for nursing license if applicable.
• Experience in long-term care or assisted living environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of current state laws and regulations that apply to the practice of nursing as an RN/LPN/LVN in an assisted living setting.
• Has strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to prioritize responsibilities.
• Knowledge of Alzheimer’s Disease, other dementias and related memory impairments is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work as a team.
• Basic knowledge of computer software and programs.
• Able to work weekend and holiday rotation.
