Job summary

Pearl of Joliet in Joliet, IL is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for the NOC shift (7pm-7:30am). This role offers competitive wages, a sign-on bonus, medical benefits, and flexible scheduling to support work-life balance.

You will lead day-to-day nursing tasks, administer medications, mentor nursing assistants, and ensure safety and quality care for residents in a post-acute setting. Illinois license and CPR certification are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Illinois LPN license is required.
• Current CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants. Plan the shift’s services and activities.
• Make written and oral reports; admit, transfer and discharge residents; provide leadership to staff.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician.
• Develop and maintain good working rapport with inter-departmental personnel to ensure nursing services meet resident needs.
• Monitor staff for safety in use of equipment and supplies.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident care information.

Responsibilities for Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants. Meet with your assigned nursing staff, as well as support personnel, in planning the shift’s services, programs and activities.
• Make written & oral reports/recommendations concerning the activities of the shift as required. Admit, transfer and discharge residents as required. Provide leadership to nursing personnel assigned to your unit/shift.
• Prepare & administer medications as ordered by the physician.
• Develop & maintain a good working rapport with inter-departmental personnel, as well as other departments within the facility to ensure that nursing services and activities can be adequately maintained to meet the needs of the residents.
• Monitor your assigned personnel to ensure that they are following established safety regulations in the use of equipment and supplies.
• Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information including protected health information.

Qualifications for Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):

• Current Illinois Nursing License (Required)
• Current CPR certification (Preferred)
