Job Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including assessments, monitoring vital signs, administering treatments, and documenting care.
• Conduct initial medical screenings and provide ongoing care.
• Respond to medical emergencies with first aid and emergency care.
• Monitor and document patient progress, collaborating with physicians for treatment modifications.
• Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with regulations.
• Administer medications and ensure proper handling and storage.
• Work with healthcare teams to coordinate patient care.
• Educate patients and staff on health topics.
• Ensure the medical unit is organized and stocked.
• Report equipment issues and perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid state licensure and credentials (e.g., LPN, CMA, RN).
• High School diploma or GED.
• 1-3 years healthcare experience, preferably in correctional settings.
• Active CPR/BLS certification.
