Job summary

CNY Fertility Center in Rochester, NY is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our patient‑focused clinical team in a fertility setting.

The LPN will assist with patient care, vitals, injections, phlebotomy, specimen handling, IV procedures, and medical record documentation under physician/RN supervision, ensuring compassionate service and accuracy.

This full‑time role requires teamwork, adherence to safety protocols, and ongoing participation in training.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an approved LPN/LVN School of Nursing.
• High school diploma or GED with one year of technical training.
• NYS LPN license required; CPR/BLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Places patients in rooms and records vital signs and medical history.
• Performs prescribed injections.
• Performs phlebotomy.
• Collects and labels specimens per lab orders.
• Transports specimens to the lab promptly.
• Starts, maintains, and discontinues IV lines under RN supervision.
• Maintains accurate health care records and reports concerns to RN/physician.
• Communicates and records laboratory results under supervision.
• Cleans, stocks, and maintains exam rooms.
• Participates in training and continuing education.

Summary: CNY Fertility is a renowned fertility center offering advanced treatments like IVF, IUI, and egg freezing. With a patient-centered approach and cutting-edge technology, we support individuals and couples on their journey to parenthood. Our LPN p erforms patient-specific duties in the area of fertility including patient care, teaching, triage, and procedures, under the direction of the physician by performing the following duties.

Required Duties and Responsibilities: I nclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Places patients in rooms, assists with recording and taking vital signs. Records patient history, medications, and significant changes.
• Performs all prescribed injections.
• Performs phlebotomy successfully.
• Collects and labels specimen as outlined in lab orders/requisitions.
• Transports specimens to the lab promptly for testing.
• Starts, maintains, and discontinues IV lines under the direct supervision of a registered nurse.
• Maintains factual and thorough health care records.
• Reports any concerns to direct RN supervisor or Physician.
• Communicates, reviews, and records all laboratory results under the direct supervision of a provider or a registered nurse.
• Cleans, stocks, and maintains all exam rooms.
• Participates in training, conferences, staff development, and continuing education programs pertaining to area of expertise.
• This position may also be responsible for performing other duties as assigned, consistent with the role and operational needs of the organization.

Education/Experience :

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one year of technical training. Must be a graduate of an approved LPN/LVN School of Nursing.

Language Ability :

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.

Math Ability :

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability :

• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
