Job summary

Central Nursing Home in Chicago, IL is seeking compassionate and dependable Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our nursing team. Our LPNs provide resident-centered care while collaborating with CNAs, nursing leadership, physicians, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.

Available shifts include AM, PM, and NOC with rotating weekends. We offer next-day pay, health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with employer match, supportive work environment, training and growth

Qualifications

• Current and valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of Illinois.
• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.
• Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to supervise and appropriately delegate to nursing staff.
• Dependable, professional, and committed to resident-centered care.
• Must meet applicable health and background requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and appropriate nursing care to residents.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility policies.
• Monitor residents and promptly report changes in condition.
• Complete accurate and timely nursing documentation.
• Assist with the development and implementation of resident care plans.
• Supervise and appropriately delegate responsibilities to CNAs.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, and members of the interdisciplinary team.
• Collaborate with the Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing, and other nursing leadership.
• Maintain resident dignity, privacy, safety, and quality of care.
• Follow facility policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Perform additional nursing duties as assigned.

Education

Schedule

Available shifts include:

• AM: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM


• PM: 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM


• NOC: 12:00 AM - 8:30 AM


• Rotating weekends and weekend availability may be required
