Job summary

Simple Staffing Inc. on behalf of MaxCare Health & Residential Services is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Virginia. Full-time positions available with 2nd and 3rd shifts; patient ratio up to 8 residents in low-stress homes.

Salary is $32.00 per hour. Responsibilities include nursing care, collaboration with CNAs, patient education, daily documentation, and medication administration with RN support.

Qualifications

• Licensed practical nurse (LPN) in Virginia is required.
• Current CPR certification preferred.
• Experience with individuals with intellectual disabilities is preferred.
• Ability to build rapport with patients, families, and peers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
• Collaborate with Direct Support Professional / CNA for patient care.
• Educate and update patients on medical treatments.
• Document services and progress daily.
• Coordinate with an RN to administer medications and services.

MaxCare Health & Residential Services has six residential group homes offering nursing services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities who have complex medical needs. Shifts available:

Full-time

• 3:00pm - 11:00pm
• 11:00pm - 7:00am

Part-time

• 3:00pm - 11:00pm
• 11:00pm - 7:00am
• Every Other Weekend all shifts

Salary: $32.00 per hour

Basic Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care for individuals with intellectual disabilities
• Provide basic patient care and treatment in collaboration with the Direct Support Professional /CNA
• Educate and update patients on medical treatments
• Daily documentation of services provided and progress towards goals
• Collaborate with an RN to administer prescribed medications and coordinate services as applicable

Minimum Qualifications:
