Job summary

Signature-Healthcare in Brockton, MA is seeking a Part-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support patient care during evenings and every other weekend/holiday.

The LPN will assist the healthcare team with care, treatment, documentation and patient education, perform medication administration, and help ensure efficient flow through the office. MA LPN licensure and BLS are required; Meditech experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved practical nursing program.
• 1–2 years of LPN experience preferred.
• Licensed in Massachusetts as an LPN.
• Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers.
• Meditech experience preferred.

Under the supervision of a physician, Practice Manager and/or Director of Nursing, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for assisting the healthcare team with the care and management of patients during their visit. The LPN will perform professional administrative and clinical duties including but not limited to care, treatment, documentation, education and medication administration to maintain and support the office and to assure efficient patient flow through the office. The LPN will also assist the physician or other clinical staff with procedures, treatments, specimen collection and communication to patients. Education: Graduate of an approved practical nursing program. Experience: One- two years of successful working experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse preferred. Certification/Licensure: Licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers completion. Software/Hardware: Meditech experience preferred.
