The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Well Care Community Health, Inc. is responsible for providing appropriate healthcare and instruction to patients and supporting the team in an on-site clinical setting in Austin, IN. The LPN performs tasks associated with walk-in patients including CLIA waived lab tests, weight checks, STD and TB testing, monitoring vital signs, refilling medications, preparing and dispensing medications, administering injections, instructing patients on treatment and medication procedures, and completing medical forms. The LPN also phones patients with lab test results and answers questions within the scope of the practice. The LPN prepares examinations rooms and appropriate equipment and supplies, provides lab results to physicians, and instructs and guides patients on treatment purposes, along with other duties as assigned.
