Job summary

Ashland Village Assisted Living in Ashland, OH is seeking a qualified LPN to join our care team. You will deliver hands-on nursing, supervise CNAs, and support residents in achieving optimal independence with compassionate, individualized care.

You will administer medications, monitor vitals, and document care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest quality of life for residents.

Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered LPN licensure in Ohio.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate, and direct the work of nursing assistants (CNAs).
• Provide individualized nursing care to residents according to each resident’s plan of care.
• Assist in the admission, transfer, and discharge of patients.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments as ordered by the physician.
• Explains procedures and treatments ordered to gain patients’ cooperation and allay apprehension.
• Observe vital signs to detect deviations from normal and gauge progress of the patient.
• Maintains patients’ medical record on nursing observation and action taken, such as medications and treatments given, reactions, tests, intake, emission of liquids and solids, and vital signs.
• Records nursing needs of patient on care plan to assure continuity of care.
• Observed emotional stability of patients, expresses interest in their progress, and prepares them for continuing care after discharge.
• Perform other duties as required to provide exceptional care to each resident.
