Job summary

Minnesota Direct Care & Treatment’s CBHH Annandale Nursing unit seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide care for adults with acute to chronic mental illness.

You will perform nursing duties, monitor vitals, administer medications, participate in rehabilitation activities, and ensure a safe, clean environment in a small inpatient psychiatric facility.

Qualifications

• Must possess or be eligible for Minnesota licensure as a Practical Nurse.
• Future Practical Nurses within six months of graduating encouraged to apply; contingent offers may be made upon NCLEX-LPN.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing duties for adults with acute to chronic mental illness; keep charts and reports on patients.
• Take vitals (temp, pulse, respiration, BP); administer and record prescribed medication.
• Promote rehabilitation activities and patient hygiene; maintain a safe environment.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health standards, laws and policies.

The Community Behavioral Health Hospital (CBHH) in Annandale has openings for talented Licensed Practical Nurses to join our team. Operated by Minnesota Direct Care & Treatment, the CBHH is a small inpatient psychiatric facility that provides rapid assessment and stabilization for adults experiencing an acute mental health episode.

Job Duties Include

• Perform nursing duties in caring for adults with acute to chronic and severe mental illness, including keeping clinical charts and reports on the emotional and physical status of patients.
• Facilitate the admission of patients to the unit; take temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure readings; administer and record prescribed medication.
• Promote and participate in rehabilitation activities and encourage patient personal hygiene.
• Maintain a clean, hazard-free environment and comply with all safety and health standards, laws, regulations, and policies.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must possess or be eligible for license in Minnesota as a Practical Nurse.
• Future Practical Nurses who are within six (6) months of graduating and taking their NCLEX-LPN are encouraged to apply. Contingent job offers may be made upon successful completion of degree and passing of NCLEX-LPN.

Preferred Qualifications

• Patient care experience within a mental health setting.
