Job summary

Generator Supercenter Chicagoland is seeking a licensed tradesperson to join our installation team. Your primary responsibility will be natural gas and propane work for standby generator installations, including gas piping, regulators, pressure testing, fuel connections and pulling permits.

You will install piping, coordinate inspections, support with electrical crews and help solve field problems to keep projects moving. Outdoor, hands-on work and strong safety practices are essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold the license/credentials required to pull plumbing or gas permits in our service area.
• Strong natural gas and propane experience.
• Comfortable working outdoors and performing physical installation work.
• Valid driver's license.
• Dependable, professional and customer-focused.
• Willing to learn Generac equipment and become part of an all-around installation team.

Responsibilities

• Install and size natural gas and propane piping for residential and light commercial generators.
• Pull gas/plumbing permits and coordinate inspections.
• Install PE, black steel, risers, valves, regulators and generator fuel connections.
• Pressure test, troubleshoot and commission fuel systems.
• Assist with trenching, generator placement, pads, equipment setup and general installation work.
• Support electrical/install crews where appropriate.
• Help solve field problems and keep projects moving.
